Cuties and More Cuties
Diego's mouth is perfuming my pillow with sleep breath at this very second. I came home from a quinceanera about thirty minutes ago and I turned on my bedroom light; it revealed my nephew: body sprawled and mouth leaking. Funny. I visited my Mom's room to find my niece in the same position. Her little braids resting neatly across her fat cheek; I see this and have the sudden urge to shake her, spank her and never stop kissing her. God they're cute. At the beginning of the night Crystal calls and invites me to some 15 at the VFW. I start to get ready and do. I get a second call proclaiming that no longer are we going to the 15. I change into casual clothes. They're at the VFW. I say: "No, I'm not going." There's no way I'm going to change again. But my make-up's on and I have nothing else to do except watch Napoleon Dynamite, so I dress in black, flip on gold shoes, and I'm ready. After having slept til 4:30 in the afternoon I was ready to get out of the house and stop being depressed. Crystal and I danced to La Bomba, and I made Mark's nephew, Mark Anthony, the center of attention when we danced. There were flashes of cameras, comments from the father, and laughter from Aunts and Uncles; It was great! The night was topped off with another one of my realizations. Being myself is so much more easier, now, than it has ever have been. A guy with curly hair approached me and asserted that his gaze had been stuck on me and I was by his description: "fly." How nice! I held a simple conversation with him and everything was so breezy and stress free. There were no feelings of hesitation. I danced, I talked, and I laughed without feeling self-conscious or wondering who was looking at me. Being the girl without a care is awesome!
