Houston Nostalgia

My vaction week has gone by so fast. Tuesday was a night with high school friends. We visited people at Goose's house; the usual crowd. Everything's the same. Wednesday was a day with kids: my neice is absolutely beautiful. Actually, I've been contemplating if I call her beautiful too much. My sister and I were recalling how my Grandma used to call us ugly. She was playing around, but everytime my Mom would say we were beautiful or cute, Grandma would make a face and call us 'fea.' It was her way of making sure we didn't get cocky I guess. Well, my neice has noone to tell her those things, noone to keep her in line. Everyone just embraces her with their adoring compliments, and I'm wondering if it's healthy. Just a thought. Another big accomplishment of Wednesday was that I made my first pumpkin pie! Thursday was wonderful. Thanksgiving was so peaceful and happy. Friday=shopping madness and an early birthday dinner. And finally, today is my lucky day where I can finally focus back on school and write a sociology paper due on Monday. The pressure is on. All the ex-daters want to take me to expensive dinners, but work comes first. Tonight should be fun. Sadly, I miss my kitty really bad. Home is not the same.
