Ending January

The third try-out went pretty good. I was in the newspaper again on Friday. I wrote about a new supercomputer UT just received. They don't let me flower my words. Every time I tried to slip in a metaphor or some mild humor, the editor said "none of that" and back-spaced my pretty language. I don't think I'll be chosen for general reporter; I received an e-mail that announced a mandatory meeting a little too late. Early Saturday morning meetings are never an easy thing. Elizabeth, Jesus, and I went to 'Planeta' Friday night. We met the guys and girls from Alpha Psi Lambda there. We had a good time. I'm thinking of rushing. I'll get some community service hours, future business contacts, and something productive to be involved in. There's not really much to lose by joining. I attended my first real frat party on Saturday night. My friend Omar from Houston invited Elizabeth and I to DEP, an Indian frat. We contemplated stealing their Psi. They had 2500 jello shots made. Watermelon jello shots. I met people there I knew from middle school, and people who knew people from my middle school. It was pretty, pretty fun. Although I was left out of all the Ali G quoting conversations like usual, I did get to tell my story about the source of my Mother's hate of cable when I asked her if I was gay. Today we went to Alpha Psi Lambda's barbeque, played football, and studied. Spanish at 8 tomorrow!!
